Granny Smith for a cold day

Greetings! I've been knitting away at a pair of mittens for me, a scarf for daughter #2, and Arwen, but I also (finally!) finished something. I give you daughter #1's Granny Scarf.

I know. Bad photo. I haven't quite gotten the hang of taking knitting photos.

The specifics: Easy! 2x2 ribbing all the way. 3 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca bulky in Granny Smith on size 15 Clover bamboo needles. The scarf is just about 60 inches in length and 8 inches wide. Blue Sky alpaca is superb, a real pleasure to knit with. This was my "My brain hurts and I need to knit without having a single thought" knitting project for the last week.

There's a road trip in my immediate future: my boss and I will be driving to Portland, ME to meet with a foundation, and then on to Boston for an alumnae event. Forecast for Boston: cold. Forecast for Portland: even colder. Note to self: pack lots of knits!

What a beautiful scarf this is, it looks so cozy and comfy and warm - just perfect for the cold weather that's coming up to you in Portland! Stay warm and have fun!
