Knitting non-news

Nothing newly finished to show! Instead, I give you the first sweater I ever made, for Daughter #2. She picked out the yarn herself, can you tell? I've learned a lot since then. For example, in this cardie one could drive a truck through the buttonholes, n'est ce pas? It was fun, though, and a fairly quick knit. The yarn was from Green Mountain Spinnery. What great yarn! I'm on the lookout for another opportunity to knit with it. The yarn flavor is Mountain Mohair, 70% mohair and 30% wool, knit on US 10.5. Available colors are rich and delicious! The pattern was a cobble-together with the help of my LYS.
