Picked up nine stitches last night...

in the Emergency Department of University Medical Center at Princeton. After shuttling Peruvian exchange students and Daughter #1 and her friends around all day, Alan and I stopped at Triumph Brewery in Princeton for a burger and a beer. Before I even had a sip of my Bengal Gold IPA, disaster struck! Knitting friends, I knocked over my beer and tried to grab it as it fell. Instead, it sliced my middle finger on my right (dominant) hand and blood spurted everywhere! I was sorry for the patrons sitting at surrounding tables, because it was really quite a scene. Three hours and nine stitches later, my evening came to an end. ED medical personnel must hear it all, so when I asked how long it would be before I was knitting, they laughed. Of course I was dead serious!
I lament not being able to knit tonight during the Super Bowl. Go Giants!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I mean aside from the fact you cut yourself badly, now you can't knit! Ouch. Now that really hurts. Go for the leg next time.

Hope it's better soon!

Ouch! and Double Ouch! (Second Ouch for "could there be a worse injury for a knitter?" factor.)
