I knit up a small swatch with it in the linen color, and it is very nice indeed. Using size 6 needles I got the exact labeled gauge of 5.5 stitches/inch. It would be perfect for washcloths, the bandwagon for which I have not embraced. Maybe I will be overcome with the desire to knit warshcloths, but no sign of it yet! Other than that, I don't know what I would do with this yarn. If a photo of my swatchette would be of interest, please let me know and I'll post it.
The Options needles I ordered were extra points in my favorite needle sizes: 6, 7, and 8! The Knitpicks needles are fabulous! Nice and pointy, and lightweight to me.

I was thinking of ordering some of the Cotlin today. Was it soft or stiff?

I've been wondering about the Cotlin...is it firmer or drapier/softer at band gauge? Wandered over from the STR blog :)
Operakatz, Cotlin is definitely more firm than drapey. "Sturdy" would be a good descriptor! It's more fitting for a washcloth than a garment.
