My only regret in having learned to knit is that my knitting seriously cuts in to my reading time. My daughters have both commented on that fact, which is encouraging, since it means that they actually do pay attention to me once in awhile! My stepfather's hat is finished! Given his lack of, um, hair, and those cold Manhattan winds, he will definitely get some use out of it. I knit this baby in Telemark. The yarn was great, it blocked well, and the pattern is easy and fun! Everyone who has seen it wants one! These are our lovely kitties, Lucy & Ricky. They were stray kittens born to a feral mother who prowls the neighborhood where I work. It is a densely wooded area with geologically significant "boulder fields," with some wetlands thrown in, so there are lots of places for cats to roam as well as hide.
